The Why Tai

​Ingredients

  • 2 oz rum (or 1oz dark rum and 1 oz white rum if you want to be fancy)

  • 0.75 oz. lime juice

  • 0.5 oz. orange liqueur

  • 0.5 oz. simple syrup

  • 0.25 oz. orgeat (you can use Amaretto in a pinch)

  • Mint

Directions 

Add rum, orange liqueur, simple syrup, lime, and orgeat to a shaker. Shake hard with ice. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with mint.

Non-Alcoholic Version

 

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz orgeat (almond syrup)

  • 0.5 oz simple syrup

  • 1.5 oz lime juice

  • Club soda or water

Directions 

Add orgeat, simple syrup, and lime juice to a shaker with ice. Shake hard for 10 seconds. Dump everything into a rocks glass. Add a little bit of club soda or water. Garnish with mint.

The
Mosc-How Mule

 

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka

  • Fresh Lime

  • 4-6 oz Ginger Beer

​

Directions 

Add vodka to a glass (use a copper mug if available) and squeeze juice from half of a decent sized lime. Add ice and top with ginger beer.

Non-alcoholic Version

 

Ingredients

  • Fresh Lime

  • Ginger Beer

  • Dash of Bitters (optional)

Directions 

Squeeze juice from half of a decent sized lime into a glass (use a copper mug if available). Add ice and top with ginger beer and a dash of bitters if desired.

Non-Alcoholic Version

 

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz espresso (or coffee)

  • 1 oz simple syrup

  • 1.5 oz. lite coconut cream (shake can before opening).

 

 

Directions

Fill a glass with ice. Add coffee and simple syrup. Give a quick stir, then slowly pour coconut cream over the top.

The What Russian

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka (or white rum)

  • 1.5 oz Kahlua (or your favorite coffee liqueur)

  • 1.5 oz (more or less) lite coconut cream

(shake can before opening).

Directions 

Fill a glass with ice. Add vodka/rum and coffee liqueur. Give a quick stir, then slowly pour coconut cream over the top.

The Who Carré

This drink is inspired by the classic New Orleans cocktail, the Vieux Carré.

Non-Alcoholic Version

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon black tea syrup (instructions below)

  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters (leave this out for a zero alcohol option)

  • Blackberry sparkling water

 

Directions

To make the syrup, make a concentrated tea with two black tea bags per 6 oz of water. Add ¾ c  granulated white sugar and 2 cinnamon sticks per 6 oz of water. Dissolve the sugar and keep on low to medium heat for 20-30 minutes to infuse the syrup with the cinnamon sticks. Don’t let it boil. 

 

Combine 1.5 oz of syrup with 8oz of sparkling water in a glass and dash with bitters if desired. Garnish with an orange peel.

Who Carré

Ingredients

  • 1 oz bourbon

  • 1 oz brandy or cognac

  • 1 oz amaretto

  • 3 dashes of Angostura bitters

Directions 

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and add ice. Stir to combine for approximately 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
